promote the resurgence of Telugu language & culture, an
academy named after the renowned Indologist, C.P.Brown is
established. The Academy runs under the stewardship of
Sri P. Dinakara Rao, Director,
Alpha Foundation. |

An advisory council of eminent literateurs
helps the Academy in the formulation of its plans and programmes.
The
objectives of the Academy are :

To
promote the resurgence of Telugu language and culture.

To
help create a learning infrastructure for the benefit of Telugu
children and help them understand, appreciate and stay connected
with their rich linguistic, literary and cultural heritage.

To
consolidate the accumulated scholarship and classical and
contemporary literature in Telugu at a comprehensive Resource
Centre.

To
facilitate creation, publication and popularization of literary
works of excellence in Telugu.
